Thomas Snyder

Thomas Snyder, based in Brussels, is a Managing Director of Corstone. He is also a principal of AG Investment Partners, LLC and has extensive investment, management and international business experience having been CEO of several companies, most recently All Ocean Group, a privately-held company doing business in the petrochemical industry.

Mr. Snyder is a founding principal of New Economy Investors -2 and Middle East Investment Partners, LP and was a principal of the Appian Group until 1999. While with Appian, Mr. Snyder worked with the largest German real estate group, I.V.G., in connection with real estate investments in France. Mr. Snyder also took the lead in a number of major projects including representing Nomura Principal Finance Group and Royal And Sun Alliance as well as a number of business activities with Aegon. Appian also worked with Lucadia in connection with its efforts to acquire a Dutch mortgage bank and another financial institution. Appian also worked with Angel Train Contracts (one of the largest railroad groups in the UK) in Spain, France, Germany and the Czech Republic. In addition, Mr. Snyder was President of several privately owned investment firms focused primarily in the chemical industry.

Mr. Snyder has extensive experience in the management of logistics. These companies were well known for innovative means of financing and structuring complex business transactions, including international bartering, particularly in Europe and the developing countries. He has raised debt and equity (in public and private markets) from governments and financial institutions in excess of US$ 3 billion. Having lived outside of the United States for thirty years, Mr. Snyder has developed commercial, banking and financial relationships in many countries of the world. In most of the companies where his firms have made investments he has served on the board of directors. He has lectured extensively on project finance. Mr. Snyder holds a BA in Economics from Trinity College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.
