Tony Shao

Tony Shao, based in Beijing, is Vice President of Financial Operations for Corstone Capital's China Operations. His responsibilities include areas of finance and accounting, including oversight of the internal control system for Corstone’s NPL business.

Mr. Shao brings to Corstone more than 15 years of finance and accounting experience in China. Prior to joining, he served as manager of the World Class Finance team for BearingPoint, a management consulting service company. Mr. Shao’s role included managing several projects, including total budget management and activity-based costing, for Chinese State Owned Enterprises.

Prior to BearingPoint, Mr. Shao worked for a number of hi-technology companies as financial controller, responsible for accounting and financial management as well as internal control system. Early in his career, Mr. Shao worked for China Certified Public Accountants in management consulting and assurance practice. His role included auditing and consulting services for clients in various industries, with a primary focus on foreign invested enterprises in China.

Mr. Shao received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fudan University, and he received his Master's degree in Economics from Beijing College of Economics. Mr. Shao holds a certificate of Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors and a certificate of Certified Public Accountants from the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
